This picture brings back memories for me! Every Wednesday my mother would go to the Italian bakery and pick up around 3 loaves of the best bread ever and then get a bunch of cold cuts and this was our dinner. Love this picture!
Beautiful, although I admit that I still have a little uneasiness about walking around with bread that's exposed to the air. I guess it's my Wonder Bread childhood.
I say sesame seed, not salt? There used to be a place in Huntington, Dan's where they baked it fresh, just bread, that's all they sold. Every hour it came out of the oven. My mom would send us over and my sister and I would buy and extra one to eat some of it fresh and warm on the way home. The aroma was heavenly!
