These do pop up here and there, but given I don't have a cell phone, I've not made use of them. They have a rather graphic, artistic pizzazz the way you've shown them!
My wife knows about & uses them all the time (she's the geek in the family). They look like they might have interesting design possibilities if they were multicolored.
It's a QR (Quick Response) Code and you need to have the scanner app for your smartphone to read it. It will take you to the URL that is in the code. The codes in my post are for my blog.
Click here for a QR code generator or you can do a google search for "QR code generator" to find another site. I had to use their short URL code to generate my blog.
I love it Carol...already scan them...great idea...I will try to add this bar code to my site as well. Thanks so much for the links. Hope you are having a fabulous week :)
I have seen them on so many parcel and boxes; I held my phone to it and nothing happened. Is is because I have a Samsung Galaxy? If someone would explain, I would be grateful. Rita
Rita, you need to download the app to your phone and open the app to read the code. I use an iPhone, I don't know anything about Android or Samsung but it's a smartphone so however you download your apps, do a search for a QR code reader app. Hope this helps.
hummm.... I've seen these! it is an alien language so they can send messages to each other w/o the real humans catching on! ;o) thanks for the encouraging words & thoughts since my surgery too .
Thank you for taking the time to comment. They are fun to read and very much appreciated! Sorry for comment moderation, the spam has been overwhelming lately.
