  2. Sounds like the perfect choice when the cook finds the kitchen too hot! My second choice is a calzone. :) Carol, stay cool this weekend!

    1. Hope it's back on! We were out for over a week a couple years ago and we got a generator. Haven't lost power since :)

  23. How smart are you??? We've grilled and had lots of salads. Which is why I, too, had no recipe for this week.

  28. We cooked some, but also noticed the temperature rising in the house! Poor air conditioner had all it could do to keep up without throwing extra heat at it.

  29. I've traveled to the southern hemisphere for vacation. The temperatures are much cooler, so I could cook, but no ingredients, no recipes etc. Oh well, it might be cooler when I get home.

  30. We've had the same kind of heat, and I've been trying to stay out of the kitchen too. Keep cool!

  34. I've found a recipe for a great pizza dough. And also, wherever I move, I always try to find a good pizza place in an area. So whenever I feel like doing nothing, I just grab one :)

  35. Oh yum! The pizza looks delicious and I am in love with the little fork guy. I think I'm going to try to make one :)

  36. I love pizza! I roasted a chicken for dinner tonight and guess what... heated up the house. I thought about using the slow cooker but thought 2 1/2 hours wouldn't be that bad. Oh, well, now I have leftovers for a couple of cold meals.

  37. I would never survive in that heat. I have AC but still don't like to turn the stove on during hot weather. If ever there is a time for takeout it's now.
