  7. Okay, let us know. Once we start cutting into the cake, is she undressed???? Maybe this is better for a bachelor party. &(j/k)

    It's absolutely darling!

  8. My granddaughter is having a bumblee bee theme cake and party but is wearing a princess floor length gown she picked out herself for her 3rd birthday. She put it on over jeans to show me last time i visited and stood up very straight and regally and glided across the room. She has a tiara and wand to go with it. I have the feeling she is going to want a princess cake just as soon as she discovers princess cakes.:) I'll have to send her the link to yours, its so beautiful.

    1. Your granddaughter sounds adorable, a very happy birthday to her, sounds like a fun party! I didn't make the cake, my friend did, if you google Barbie Doll cakes, I think you'll find lots of recipes!

  9. How neat! My mom had a very similar cake to this one for her bridal shower -- apparently they were once a specialty of my grandmother's! :) Very cute.

    1. I don't know, a friend of mine made it for her soon to be DIL's bridal shower. I know she practiced a bit with the fondant and the frosting decoration. I know it didn't take us long to eat it, it was good :)

    2. It took a couple of hours to do. This was my first try at fondant, luckily youtube has lots of how to videos.

  16. That's a beautiful cake, and I love the colors!

I did crochet a dress for a Barbie Doll and I gave it to my friend's daughter's quincenera. It was placed on top of the cake.

Now that I am blogging and in to photography, no more time to do my crafts.
