    1. No, we don't have one. I took this at the local pizza place in town. The wood was stacked almost to the ceiling!

  8. You cannot beat a pizza from a wood fired oven, yummo!

  9. Save some of that wood for winter days... if we get cold enough ones. That will be a great pizza.

  19. Think of the stories that go along with each growth ring of the wood!

  20. Oh brick ovens...food tastes so much better!

  21. Wow I imagine that it takes quite a bit of wood to heat the oven hot enough to bake a pizza. It would be a good way to keep warm in winter, but summer eye yi yi. Well cutting splitting and hauling all the wood for the oven hopefully burns enough calories to be able to indulge in yummy brick baked pizazz

  22. It looks like irregular tiles in that image.
But now I am also thinking of wood-fired pizza :)

  26. That is my favorite Wordless Wednesday post because you have evoked so many senses (the smell of the fire, the taste of the crust, the sight of the pizza being taken from the oven, the textures of melted cheese and chunky sauce) with this one picture.

  31. Never thought of making a wood fire based pizza instead of a brick oven. It looks and sounds tasty. I stumbled upon your blog from the Wordless Wednesday Link party and I love the layout!

  32. It must be too hot to be near the over. I live near a pizza shop but I didn't see firewoods. They must have a different type of oven. :)

  33. What a fun photo... Yes feed the oven
