My husband tossed out an expensive herb bread that had gone stale (gotten hard to eat but smelled delicious), I told next time lets make bread crumbs or croutons.
BREADCRUMBS! They are pan-toasted panko breadcrumbs. Sauteed with a little garlic butter and fresh herbs. I used them to top fish. Thanks for the comments.

Not sure what it is exactly, but it looks a little like an Asian dish.
